Alphalens has announced a new integration with DolphinDB, enabling native execution of its factor analysis tools within the high-performance database environment. This collaboration allows for seamless analysis of large-scale factor datasets without the need for data movement, streamlining workflows for quantitative researchers. The integration supports complete Alphalens workflows, including quantiles, information coefficient (IC), returns, and turnover, all executed directly in the database. Additionally, professional tear sheets can be generated in Jupyter, enhancing the efficiency of research processes. This development aims to eliminate traditional bottlenecks in factor research, allowing quants to analyze larger datasets and iterate faster while maintaining analytical rigor.
