Alipay has publicly denied claims by P2P crypto trading platform Peer that users can buy and sell USDC through its payment service, calling the announcement "false and unauthorized." The statement came after Peer advertised support for USDC transactions via Alipay on its platform. "Alipay does not support virtual currency (crypto) trading or related services," Alipay stated in its official response. The company warned that any claim suggesting Alipay can be used to purchase cryptocurrency on third-party platforms is inaccurate and cautioned users to protect the safety of their funds and accounts.
