Alibaba Cloud has announced price increases of up to 34% for its AI computing and storage products, citing rising global AI demand and supply chain costs. The price adjustments, effective March 18, affect various products, including the Pingtouge Zhenwu 810E computing cards, which saw increases between 5% and 34%, and the CPFS (AI Computing Edition) file storage product, which rose by 30%. Insiders attribute the hikes partly to a surge in token usage, with Alibaba Cloud's MaaS platform, Bailian, experiencing unprecedented growth from January to March. The company is reallocating AI computing resources to support token-related services.
