AirAsia MOVE, Intebix, and the Solana Foundation have signed a letter of intent to explore the integration of the Kazakhstani tenge-denominated stablecoin Evo (KZTE) into the AirAsia MOVE platform. This initiative aims to enable users in Kazakhstan to book flights and hotels using the stablecoin.
The collaboration will focus on evaluating the technical architecture, settlement mechanisms, and compliance pathways within the regulatory sandbox framework of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. Depending on the evaluation outcomes, the project may progress to a pilot phase. Evo, launched in 2025 by Intebix in partnership with Mastercard and Eurasian Bank, operates on the Solana blockchain.
