Aave has temporarily halted WETH withdrawals, leading to a discount in the deposit receipt aEthWETH. This situation was exploited by a whale address, 0x8ad, which withdrew 13,000 ETH (around $30 million) from an exchange. The whale then swapped the ETH to acquire 13,143 aEthWETH and repaid its Aave ETH loan at a 1:1 ratio, securing a profit of 143 ETH, valued at approximately $3.3 million.
