Aave DAO is facing internal governance disputes affecting the deployment of MegaETH, according to DeFi researcher Ignas. The Aave Chan Initiative (ACI) had been engaging with MegaETH since March 2025, but Aave Labs bypassed ACI's Skywards process by directly submitting a deployment proposal. This led ACI to withdraw its business development resources from MegaETH. In the ongoing Snapshot vote, approximately 30% of participants have abstained.
Despite the procedural disagreements, Ignas highlighted the favorable economic terms of the MegaETH proposal, which include a guaranteed annual income of $2 million for five years, 30 million points, and 6% of MEGA's total supply. These terms are considered among the best chain deployment conditions Aave has secured.
