YouTube will enhance its enforcement of policies against gambling and violent content in gaming starting November 17. The platform will include digital goods like game skins, props, and NFTs under its gambling-related content restrictions. Additionally, content involving 'social casinos' will be restricted to users aged 18 and over. Age restrictions will also apply to game content featuring realistic depictions of torture or large-scale non-combatant violence. Videos uploaded before this enforcement date that violate these rules will face removal or age restrictions but will not incur warnings.
