To ensure a transparent and efficient copy trading environment, Phemex applies strict eligibility criteria and a comprehensive ranking algorithm when displaying Elite Traders on the Copy Trading homepage. This article explains the conditions required for a trader to appear in the Elite Trader list, as well as the default sorting mechanism.
✅ 1. Eligibility Criteria for Elite Trader Display
An Elite Trader will be shown on the Copy Trading homepage only when all of the following conditions are met:
| Condition | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Minimum Total Equity | Combined USDT + USDC futures account equity ≥ 100 USD |

|
The trader must turn on the lead trading function
|
| No Copying Restrictions | The “Restriction for Copiers” feature must be disabled |
| Recent Copy Trading Activity | The trader must have executed at least one copy trading order within the last 90 days |
🔔 Note: Once all the above conditions are satisfied, the Elite Trader will be displayed immediately on the Copy Trading homepage.
📊 2. Default Ranking Algorithm for Displayed Elite Traders
Once eligible traders are listed, they are ranked using a weighted scoring model. The final order is determined by a composite score based on several key performance indicators (KPIs). The algorithm evaluates each trader according to the following metrics:
| Metric | Scoring Dimension | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 30D ROI | Copy Trading Profitability | Reflects the trader’s return on investment over the last 30 days |
| 30D PnL | Profit Volume | Measures overall profitability output |
| 30D Copiers Profit | Strategy Replicability | Indicates whether the strategy generates profits for copiers |
| 30D Win Rate | Strategy Stability | A higher win rate suggests better risk control and consistency |
| AUM (Assets Under Management) | Social Proof & Credibility | Shows the scale of copiers trust and capital allocation |
| 30D Trading Volume | Trading Activity | Evaluates strategy execution frequency and ongoing engagement |
The system calculates a weighted score based on these indicators and ranks Elite Traders from highest to lowest.
📍 Summary
To appear on the Copy Trading homepage, a trader must meet all equity, activity, and permission requirements. Once listed, their ranking is determined by a professional scoring model that considers return, profitability, win rate, follower performance, capital scale, and trading activity.
This ensures that followers are presented with top-performing and actively managed trading strategies.
