Our Canton price prediction puts Canton's CC coin at $0.09-$0.13 for 2026 and $0.145-$0.188 for 2030 in the base case, the range we think most likely. Neither year gets near a dollar. The way up runs through more usage on the network, because usage is what destroys coins.
After the January 2026 halving, Canton burned about two coins for every three it minted, so supply kept growing about 6-7% a year. On one explorer's daily count, Canton burned fewer coins than it minted on every day from its June 2024 launch to late October. That gap keeps our ranges modest, and DTCC going live only changes them if it shows up as more burn.

What Is Canton (CC)?
CC pays fees and rewards on Canton, a privacy-enabled blockchain for regulated finance whose pitch is the tokenizing of real-world assets such as funds and bonds. It launched with "no pre-mine, no pre-sale" and no special allocations for founders or VCs, so new coins reach the market through minting rewards.
Where Is the CC Price After the Late-October Close?
CC closed late October at about $0.098, about a quarter under its 200-day average. That put its market value near $3.9B on about 40 billion coins.
DTCC runs the market plumbing that takes over once a trade is done, and its Tokenization Service went live in late October, "integrated with the Canton Network and DTCC's private Besu network" with more chains due in 2027. The service creates tokenized versions of securities held at DTCC's depository, and DTCC says 20 of the depository's clients have signed agreements to access it.
The release names the network and never mentions the CC coin, so the launch alone doesn't tell you how much CC will burn.
Does Canton Burn More Than It Mints?
Not yet. Canton mints new CC as rewards for validators, app builders and Super Validators, the large operators that run its core service. It destroys CC when users burn crypto to pay for network traffic. The project's docs say burn "roughly balances the CC minted" over the long term. The table shows how far off that was, on one explorer's daily count.

Much of the narrowing came from the halving itself, the scheduled step in its tokenomics and supply rules that cut the yearly ceiling on new coins from 20 billion to 10 billion. Burn in coins rose by about 70%, and traffic rose faster. From February on, though, the coin count flattered the picture.
Fees are "denominated in USD but paid by burning Canton Coin", so the cheaper the coin, the more coins the same traffic burns. Think of it as a toll priced in dollars, where a coin at half the price means twice as many coins per car.
That's what happened in 2026. Burn averaged about 13-16 million coins a day in each month from February to October because CC got cheaper. Burn in dollars fell every month over that stretch, from about $2.7M a day to about $1.6M at the network's own conversion rate. Traffic fell with it.
A rising price works the other way, so if you own CC, that's the brake on any rally. Matching October's mint takes about 1.3 times October's dollar burn at CC's $0.098 close and about 2.5 times at $0.188, if the mint stays where it was.
What Does CC's Price History Show?
CoinMarketCap's daily series starts in November 2025, so CC's market record runs about a year. Its highest close was $0.188 on 2 February 2026, the day before a $0.194 intraday high, and CC finished October about 48% under that close.
The lowest close was $0.0622 in December 2025. CC ended that year near $0.152 and lost about 36% in 2026 to late October, with a closing low for the year of $0.0905 in August.
CC Technical Analysis
CC Support Levels
The first floor was the 17 August close of $0.0905, and CC came back to that area a month later. Below it, the level that counted was the December 2025 closing low of $0.0622.
CC Resistance Levels
Overhead, the 50-day average at about $0.112 came first and the 200-day at about $0.130 second. Through October, CC last finished above that longer average on 27 September, at $0.137.
CC Moving Averages
CC closed October about 13% under its 50-day average, and that average itself sat below the 200-day. That's a downtrend on every count these averages give you.
Canton Price Prediction 2026
The rest of 2026 comes down to the $0.09 area, and we lean to the base case. Every 2026 close through October stayed above that level, and the next halving isn't forecast until 2029.

The bull band is narrow on purpose. In the two months left, getting back above the 200-day and the 27 September close would already be a strong finish.
Canton Price Prediction 2027
For 2027 the base case is $0.0977-$0.146, which needs CC to hold its October level while supply keeps growing. The top is where CC traded around May 2026.
Universal burn is the change we'd watch most. Traffic on Canton's shared Global Synchronizer, the service that orders transactions, burns CC. Traffic on dedicated synchronizers, the private versions, burns nothing.
CIP-0129, a Canton Improvement Proposal approved in late October, would make those private lanes pay in CC too. It estimates the first phase for Q1 2027 and volume pricing for Q3 2027. Its authors call those dates "ambitious estimates" and add "They are not deadlines."
DTCC comes back in here. Its release doesn't say which synchronizer the service uses, so any traffic on a dedicated one would burn no CC until universal burn ships.
One dated change to watch is the app-reward switch in CIP-0104, last approved in late October. That CIP caps featured app rewards at "at most 79 cents for $1 of burn" and moves those rewards onto measured traffic. Its plan targets a dry run in December 2026 and the switch in February 2027, "Contingent on Tokenomics committee approval".
Canton Price Prediction 2028
2028 has no halving, so demand has to absorb roughly 2.5-3 billion new coins a year by itself at October's pace. The base case of $0.0977-$0.167 assumes it does, with real-world assets in crypto such as tokenized funds and deposits paying to settle on Canton. CC back at its May 2026 levels is the top.
Canton Price Prediction 2030
Our 2030 answer is $0.145-$0.188, and it rests on burn meeting a mint that has halved. CIP-0105 forecasts the next step down for late summer 2029, and half of October's mint is about 11 million coins a day.
At October's $1.6M of daily burn, mint and burn would meet at about $0.15, close to the bottom of our range. The $0.188 top needs about $2M a day.
So this base case doesn't need a boom. It needs dollar burn to stop falling and then grow about 25% from there, which is why we think the range is reachable and why $1 isn't in it.
October's pace also puts supply at about 47-48 billion coins by August 2029, so $1 would mean about $47-48B of market value.
From 2027 on, every figure in this table is a price CC has actually closed at.

The full range stops at $0.188 because that was CC's highest close in about a year of trading.
2029 cuts both ways, because the ceiling on new coins halves and that helps. The Super Validators' lock-up requirement ends 30 days later, which could hurt. In the worst case every one of them starts unlocking at once, and about 18 billion CC vests at about 50 million a day against about 21 million a day minted in October.
What About 2035 and 2040?
We don't set ranges that far out. The table shows the yearly growth from CC's $0.098 close that each round target would need. Those rates are price only, so market value would have to grow faster while the coin count rises.

Can Canton Coin Reach $1?
Not on anything CC did through October, and we wouldn't plan around it. Its highest close was under $0.19 and its market value finished October near $3.9B. Can it reach $10 or more? The table shows you what each round price would take, before any new coins.

The burn side is harder still. At $1, matching October's mint takes about $21.5M of burn a day, about 13 times what it burned in October. That's arithmetic and not a forecast, but it tells you what a $1 call has to believe.
What Are the Risks of Investing in CC?
-
Super Validators have taken more than half of all CC minted. One tracker put about 18 billion CC, roughly 46% of supply, in their disclosed wallets in early November 2026. CIP-0105 says "An SV may initiate an unlock of any size at any time", and an unlock then vests evenly over about a year.
-
On-chain enforcement was still a plan in October's CIP-0127, which separates "on-chain locked CC" from "good-faith locked CC" and waits on a software release reaching the main network. Treat that supply as pledged.
-
The issuance schedule has no hard cap, reaching a ceiling of 100 billion coins over ten years and adding up to 2.5 billion a year after that. With about 40 billion out, there's plenty of room under it.
-
DTCC's traffic can go elsewhere. The service also runs on DTCC's private Besu network, and more chains join in 2027. Any volume that lands there burns no CC.
How to Get Exposure to CC
Phemex's CCUSDT perpetual and CC/USDT spot pair both closed under notices from August 2026. Outside trading, Canton's docs say validators and app providers earn CC for running infrastructure and generating activity. The link below opens Phemex's futures, where CC has no live perpetual. Futures use leverage, and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Canton coin deflationary?
Not on the numbers to late October 2026. Daily minting ran ahead of daily burning on one explorer's count, and new coins were adding about 6-7% a year. The design aims for the two to balance over time, and that hadn't happened.
Is Canton coin a good investment?
That depends on what you expect burn to do, and it's your call. CC closed October about 25% under its 200-day average with supply still growing. The case for it needs dollar burn to rise. The case against gets stronger if the August low breaks.
What is the 2030 price of Canton?
Our base case for 2030 is $0.145-$0.188, set when CC closed October near $0.098. That range needs burn to catch a mint that halves around late summer 2029. Nobody can know the actual price, so treat it as a scenario with stated conditions.
Will Canton coin go up because of DTCC?
Only if DTCC's activity shows up as CC burned. Its release names the Canton Network and leaves the coin out, and traffic on Canton's private synchronizers burned nothing in October. Universal burn, estimated for Q1 2027, would change that. Dollars burned per day is the number to check.
Bottom Line
What you're holding in CC is a usage bet with a supply headwind, and the number we'd watch is dollars burned per day. About $2.1M would stop supply growing at CC's $0.098 close, and the run from February to October went the wrong way.
If universal burn ships in 2027 and that number turns up, we'd lean toward the top of these ranges. If it keeps sliding and CC closes under $0.09, we'd expect the December 2025 low to come back into play.
