What Is Book of Meme (BOME)? Solana Meme Coin Explained

Key Points

What is Book of Meme? BOME is a fixed-supply Solana meme coin from March 2024. How it works, its mid-October 2026 drop and how to buy it.

Book of Meme (BOME) is a Solana meme coin that fell 28.69% in one day in mid-October 2026, the weakest of more than 300 Phemex markets that day. Its pseudonymous creator, Darkfarms, launched it in March 2024 as the token behind a "book" of memes kept on decentralized storage.

Every meme coin in the comparison below fell that day, and BOME fell hardest by a wide margin. WIF dropped 8.70% on Phemex spot, the worst of the other five, so BOME lost 3.3 times as much. Its $1.18 million of Phemex turnover came to about three times its median day over the previous 30 days, and no project announcement accompanied the drop.

What Is Book of Meme?

Book of Meme is a meme coin with a storage story attached. The launch page on Arweave described BOME as an experiment that links the token to a digital book of memes stored on Arweave and IPFS. The same page listed a decentralized social app and meme-making tools among its plans.

The Book of Meme coin went live through a 24-hour presale in March 2024. Buyers sent SOL to one address and received BOME in proportion to what they sent, and the main Raydium pool for BOME and SOL opened on 14 March 2024.

The launch page promised no revenue share, staking or voting, and the token offers none of them. A BOME token is a pure trading asset, so its price rests on attention and on the liquidity traders keep in its pools.

Phemex listed BOME/USDT spot that same month and still lists it.

BOME is worth a look in October 2026 because of one ugly day. On Phemex spot it slid from $0.001098 to $0.000783 in mid-October. That 28.69% fall ranked last among more than 300 Phemex spot and perpetual markets that traded that day.

Most of the market was red that day, which is why a control group helps. The table below sets BOME against five meme coins and two benchmarks on the same Phemex spot day, Solana for BOME's own chain and Bitcoin for the market.

Outside the table, the meme coin BRETT fell 10.07% on Phemex spot that day, and BOME's loss was still 2.8 times larger.

Turnover shows the selling was real, since BOME traded more on Phemex that day than on any day since late August 2026. A fall on heavy volume carries more weight than a slip in a quiet market, as Phemex's guide to how trading volume affects price explains.

The slide also ran for the whole day. Nineteen of the day's 24 hourly bars on Phemex closed below their open, and the worst single hour lost 6.47%, so there was no lone crash candle.

The move wasn't confined to one venue. GeckoTerminal's day bar for the main Raydium BOME/SOL pool on Solana shows -28.67% on $4.18 million of volume, and CoinGecko's aggregate puts the day at -28.90%.

The next day BOME added only 1.02% while PEPE, the frog coin covered in Phemex's PEPE coin explainer, rose 7.42%.

How Does BOME Work?

BOME is a standard SPL token on Solana with six decimal places, and its mint address is ukHH6c7mMyiWCf1b9pnWe25TSpkDDt3H5pQZgZ74J82. The mint authority and the freeze authority are both set to null on chain, so no one can create new BOME or freeze a holder's balance.

One setting stays open. The token's name, symbol and image link live in Metaplex metadata that a single update-authority address can still edit. The launch page said it would, so Darkfarms could keep adding memes to the book. That record matters to anyone who picks BOME from a wallet list by name or logo. The mint address is the one identifier that can't change.

BOME Tokenomics

The launch page set a total supply of 69,000,000,420 BOME and split it three ways.

Presale buyers

34.5 billion
Liquidity pools

20.7 billion

The chain holds 68.87 billion BOME, about 0.19% or 133 million fewer than that total, and the launch page doesn't account for the gap. At the mid-October close of $0.000791 that supply gives BOME a market value of about $54.47 million.

GeckoTerminal counted 92,209 holders in mid-October 2026, when the main Raydium BOME/SOL pool held about $14 million of the two tokens. Phemex's explainer on what a liquidity pool is shows how a pool like that sets the price from the ratio of what it holds.

How to Buy BOME Safely

Phemex lists BOME/USDT spot and delisted its BOME perpetual in August 2026, so buying BOME on Phemex means spot only. Spot carries no leverage, and that matters on a coin this volatile, since futures use leverage and a leveraged position is closed automatically if losses reach its margin.

  1. Open a Phemex account and fund it with USDT. BOME trades against USDT on Phemex spot, so the stablecoin is the only balance you need before you buy.

  2. Open the BOME/USDT spot market and read the order book. BOME is priced in fractions of a cent, so compare the best bid and ask before you choose a price.

  3. Use a limit order when the price is moving fast. A coin that can lose more than a quarter of its value in one day can fill a market order far from the last trade.

  4. Check the mint address before any transfer on Solana. Genuine BOME coins use the mint ukHH6c7mMyiWCf1b9pnWe25TSpkDDt3H5pQZgZ74J82, and same-name tokens such as BOOK OF MEME 3.0 and Book of Miggles (BOMI) are different projects.

  5. Send a small test withdrawal to your own wallet first. If BOME is going to a Solana wallet, pick the Solana network and wait for the test to arrive before you send the rest.

Is Book of Meme Dead?

Book of Meme isn't dead by its own chart, because BOME closed mid-October 24.06% above its 200-day average even after the drop. Traders who use SMA trading strategies treat that long average as the line between a downtrend and a base. The drop did pull BOME 17.64% below its 50-day average.

The long view is harsher. BOME's record close was $0.0203 on CoinGecko in March 2024, two days after its main pool opened, and the mid-October close sits 96.10% below it. Phemex's own record close of $0.01745 from April 2024 gives a smaller fall of 95.47%.

The floor is more recent. BOME's lowest close came in late March 2026 at $0.000367 on Phemex. The mid-October close is 115.53% above it, so even after the drop the coin closed at more than twice that low.

What Are the Risks of Book of Meme?

  • Editable metadata and look-alike tokens. One update-authority key can still change BOME's name and image link, and copycat tokens borrow the same name. A wallet that shows the right logo proves nothing. Copycat names are one of the warning signs in Phemex's guide to what a rug pull is and how to avoid one.

  • Sharp one-day moves. The mid-October fall arrived with no project announcement, so holders had no project news to weigh against the price. A coin that sold off this hard on a day the meme coins in the comparison table lost single digits can do it again on the next red day.

  • A pseudonymous creator. Darkfarms is known only by that name, and the launch page carries no named team. It's also the only document behind the supply split, so a buyer relies on the chain for everything after it.

  • No live perpetual on Phemex. Phemex took its BOME perpetual offline in August 2026, so a holder can't hedge BOME with a short there. Spot is the only BOME market the exchange offers.

Is Book of Meme a Good Investment?

Book of Meme is a bet on attention, and the mid-October data shows what that bet costs on a bad day. BOME has no revenue and no buyback, so its price depends on traders still wanting to hold a 2024 Solana meme coin.

What would have to be true: buyers would need to return to meme coins as a group. BOME would also need to hold up better than its peers on the next sell-off, the test it failed in mid-October.

The record cuts both ways. The coin closed mid-October at a small fraction of its 2024 peak, yet it had more than doubled off its 2026 low and held above its 200-day average. The mid-October drop was unusual for BOME. On the 200 days in the year before it when the meme coins in the comparison table fell on average, BOME's average fall was 2.82% against their 3.21%.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Book of Meme crypto?

Book of Meme is a meme coin on Solana, launched through a 24-hour presale in March 2024 by a pseudonymous creator called Darkfarms. Its launch page tied the token to a book of memes stored on Arweave and IPFS. No one can mint more, so supply stays near 68.87 billion.

Is BOME a meme coin?

Yes. BOME is a meme coin with no revenue or staking role, and its launch page called it an experiment mixing memes with decentralized storage. Its price moves on trading interest and nothing else.

Can Book of Meme reach $1?

At $1, BOME's 68.87 billion tokens would be worth about $68.87 billion, 1,264 times its mid-October 2026 close of $0.000791. Its highest close was $0.0203 in March 2024 on CoinGecko, so $1 would mean about 49 times that record.

Who created Book of Meme?

A pseudonymous creator known as Darkfarms launched BOME in March 2024, and the launch page points to an X account under that name. The launch page gives no real name for the person behind it.

Does Book of Meme have a future?

That depends on attention coming back to meme coins. BOME still trades daily and holds about $14 million in its main Raydium pool. Yet it closed mid-October more than 95% below its 2024 record and has no product revenue to fall back on.

Bottom Line

Book of Meme's code is about as clean as a meme coin gets, with a fixed supply that no one can mint or freeze. Its weak point is how it trades. On a red day in mid-October it fell more than three times as far as the meme coins in the comparison table, then lagged the bounce. That tail risk is what a BOME buyer is really pricing.
