Phemex now supports Passkeys as a method for two-factor authentication. Passkeys allow for a password-free login experience without the need for authentication codes. This is the most secure option to protect your account, and it enables you to use biometrics to log in and withdraw crypto. .

Notes:

• The passkey function is currently only available on Phemex app 5.5.28 or above, with iOS 16 or above devices and Android OS 9 or above devices.
• You can add a passkey using your iCloud Keychain, a USB security key, your phone’s screen lock or PIN, or a different device (e.g., another mobile phone).
• To add a Passkey on the Phemex website, we recommend using Chrome or Safari (preferably the latest version).

How to add a passkey on the Phemex APP?

1. Log in to your Phemex account and go to Personal Center > Security 

2. Find Passkeys in the security center and select Set up

3.Select Enable passkeys and complete the security verification

4.You’ll see a pop-up. Tap [Continue] and choose a verification method to create a passkey.

a. iCloud Keychain (for iOS devices only)

If you haven’t enabled iCloud Keychain, you will be prompted to do so in this step. Tap [Turn on iCloud Keychain] and follow the instructions to enable it.

If you’ve already enabled iCloud Keychain, tap [Continue] and verify with your password or biometrics. Please note that the passkey created will be synced across all your Apple devices using the same Apple ID.

b. Another device (for iOS devices only)

1. Tap [Other Options] and select [iPhone, iPad, or Android device]. Tap [Continue].

2. You will see a QR code. Scan it with another device. You can use an iPhone, iPad, or Android device with the same iCloud account or Google account 

c. Screen lock/PIN (for Android devices only)

1. Choose [This device].

2. Verify with your screen lock or PIN.

d. USB/NFC security key (for both iOS and Android devices)

If you’re using an iOS device:

1. Tap [Other Options] and select [Security key].

2. Insert and activate your USB security key, or bring your NFC key near the top of your device to verify.

If you’re using an Android device:

1. Choose an option depending on your security key’s setting (NFC or USB).

2. Activate your security key to verify. For example, holding your NFC key against the back of your device.

5.A passkey has been successfully added to your Phemex account.

Login with Passkey Verification

Verify with your current device

1. Log in to your account
2. You'll be prompted to use passkey to sign in with biometrics. For example, you can use Face ID on your iphone to verify its you
3. Or you can go back to using password to sign in

Withdraw Crypto with Passkey Verification

Submit a withdrawal request and verify with your Passkey(current device/ another device/ USB security key), enjoy secure withdrawal without 2FA and email code.

Remove & Rename passkey

You can go to Personal Center > Security >  Passkeys > Manage to rename/remove your passkey.

Note: removing your passkeys may potentially lower the security level of your account or device. It is highly recommended to consider the associated risks before proceeding.

How to add a passkey on the Phemex website?

1. Log in to your Phemex account and navigate to 'Personal Center' > 'Security' in the upper right corner. In the Security Center, find 'Passkeys' and select 'Set.'

2.Select Enable passkeys and complete the security verification

3. Choose one of the available options to create your passkey:

    a. Create with this device（Select Continue and complete the biometric authentication/PIN code on your device）

   b. Use another device (Select 'Try another way' > 'A different device', then scan the QR code using your mobile device or tablet's native QR code scanner and complete the authentication on your device).

   c.Use a physical key (Select 'Try another way' > 'USB security key', insert your security key, and follow the instructions to create your passkey).

Login with Passkey Verification

a. Verify with your current device

1. Log in to your account
2. You'll be prompted to use passkey to sign in with biometrics. For example, you can use Touch ID on your Mac to verify its you
3. Or you can Cancel and go back to using password to sign in

b. Verify with another device

1. Log in to your account
2. You'll be prompted to use passkey to sign in with another device
3. Use your other device(you can use an iPhone, iPad, or Android device with the same iCloud account or Google account ) to scan the QR code to sign in to Phemex

c. Verify with USB security key

1. Log in to your account
2. You'll be prompted to use passkey to sign in with USB security key
3. Insert your security key into your computer and touch it to verify.

Withdraw Crypto with Passkey Verification

Submit a withdrawal request and verify with your Passkey(current device/ another device/ USB security key), enjoy secure withdrawal without 2FA and email code.
