If you’re not familiar with the story, more than 10 years ago, the programmer Laszlo Hanyecz spent 10,000 BTC to purchase a couple of pizzas. As of the time of this writing, that amount of BTC is roughly worth $560 million US Dollars.
Although Hanyecz has stated he isn’t regretful in past interviews, we’d still like to do something special for him this year.
In the spirit of giving back to the one person who helped kick things off with the very first real-world BTC transaction, we’d like to offer Mr. Hanyecz a second opportunity to spend the 10,000 BTC he used back on that fateful day.
?What do we mean?
Well, the first time Mr. Hanyecz spent 10,000 BTC, though perhaps delicious, he only received a meal. This time, we think we have a much better alternative for such a sum of money.

Terms and conditions
- To qualify for this event, you must have completed all actions on the Gleam campaign before May 22nd.
- Funds will be sent as BTC to your Phemex account. These funds can then be used to trade or withdrawn.
- Users are only eligible to participate with a single account. If we detect multiple accounts with the same IP addresses or GUIDs, all offending accounts will be immediately disqualified.
