The Ethereum Foundation has clarified that the address responsible for selling 1,210 ETH does not belong to them but to Argot Collective. Hsiao-Wei Wang, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, confirmed this in a post on X, stating that Argot Collective, a non-profit development organization spun off from the Foundation, was the actual owner of the address. The Ethereum Foundation had previously committed to providing Argot Collective with three years of operating funds to support its work on the Solidity language and other key open-source infrastructure projects for Ethereum.
