How do I set my Leverage and Risk Limit?

To set your Leverage and Risk Limit preferences, review all the Prerequisites and follow the Procedures.

The Phemex Trading Page allows you to choose between two types of margin:

Isolated Margin

  1. Log in to Phemex.com and click the Contract Trading button.
  2. From the Leverage Module on the left side of the page, use the slider to select the amount of leverage you wish to apply or click the Edit symbol to manually enter a number (from 1 up to 100).

NOTE: Isolated Margin will limit your loss to the initial amount of Margin allocated to your position.

Cross Margin

  1. Log in to Phemex.com and click the Contract Trading button.
  2. From the Leverage Module on the left side of the page, make sure the slider is set to Cross.

NOTE: Cross Margin will allow your entire balance to be available to prevent liquidations.

The Phemex Trading Page also allows you to set your preferences based on desired Risk Limits:

Risk Limit

  1. Log in to Phemex.com and click the Contract Trading button.
  2. From the Leverage Module on the left side of the page, click the Edit symbol next to Risk Limit and use the slider to select your desired level of risk.

NOTE: Different Risk Limits have different corresponding Initial Margin and Maintenance Margin ratios.
