How to use Google 2FA

This short guide will teach you how to enable Google two-factor authentication (2FA).

Step 1: Install the Google Authenticator App

Download and install Google Authenticator from the App Store (for iOS users) or the Google Play Store (for Android users).

Step 2: Bind Google Authenticator with your Phemex Account

Visit our Phemex website, log in to your account, and navigate to the Account & Security section. Click the ‘Bind’ button to display a Google Key and QR Code.

Step 3: Scan the QR Code with your Google Authenticator app.

As shown in the image below, a QR code and a 16-digit key will appear.

Open Google Authenticator, click【+】 to scan the QR code, or manually enter the ‘Google Authenticator key’. Once you have, your Phemex account and code will be listed within the app.

Step 4: Save your backup key

Before you move on, make sure to save the Google Authenticator key. This key can be used to re-bind your account in case you lose access to Google Authenticator.

Step 5: Enter your Google Authenticator Code

Enter the Google Authenticator code to the QR code window and click ‘Confirm’.

Step 6: Enter email verification code

Check your email for a verification code sent by Phemex. Once you enter this code, the process will be completed.
