The Zcash community has reached a consensus on implementing the Ironwood consensus rule changes. These changes will introduce a new funding pool based on the Orchard protocol. Additionally, a consensus-rule-switchable flag will be added to the circuits used by both existing Orchard pools and the new Ironwood pool. This flag will restrict payments from within the pool to other users, while still allowing the generation of change notes.
