Atul Khekade, co-founder of XDC Network, has forecasted that tokenization will exceed Bitcoin's transformative influence on the global economy. Speaking on Tuesday, Khekade highlighted the potential of tokenization to digitize and fractionalize assets such as real estate and commodities, suggesting it will redefine economic structures. He noted the shift from Bitcoin's revolutionary value transfer to tokenization's broader application in real-world value systems. Khekade pointed to regulatory acceptance in regions like Indonesia and the Philippines, where XDC is approved for payments, and mentioned pilot projects in Africa as indicators of tokenization's growing footprint. Despite being in its nascent stages, he compared the tokenization economy to the early days of Amazon, underscoring its significant growth potential.
