The U.S. Trade Representative has announced a one-year suspension of 301 tariff measures against Chinese shipbuilding and related industries, effective from November 10. This suspension includes halting port fees on Chinese ships and additional tariffs on ship-to-shore cranes. In response, China has also paused its countermeasures, with the Ministry of Commerce expressing a willingness to engage in dialogue with the U.S. to maintain a fair competitive environment in international shipping and shipbuilding markets.
