The United States and South Korea have unveiled a comprehensive $350 billion economic and security agreement. This landmark pact includes $150 billion in Korean investment in U.S. shipbuilding and $200 billion in strategic investments across various sectors. Key components of the agreement feature tariff reductions on Korean automobiles, auto parts, timber, and pharmaceuticals. In addition to economic measures, the pact enhances defense cooperation, permitting South Korea to develop nuclear-powered submarines.
