The attack targeted the TOP/WETH Balancer V1 liquidity pool, where a malicious actor, using TornadoCash for anonymity, drained the pool's funds. The stolen assets were subsequently funneled back into TornadoCash. Cyvers has labeled the incident as a suspected scam attack and advises users to enhance their risk management strategies to mitigate similar threats.
