South Korean authorities have initiated an investigation into a $32.2 million cryptocurrency theft from the exchange Upbit. The National Police Agency's Cyber Terror Investigation Division began the probe on November 27, conducting an on-site investigation at Dunamu, Upbit's parent company. The stolen amount, equivalent to 44.5 billion won, has prompted police to focus on forensic analysis, transaction tracing, and identifying security vulnerabilities. International cooperation is being sought to track the stolen funds.
