SBI Shinsei Bank in Japan is set to launch a pilot program on June 10, allowing customers to convert a portion of their deposit interest into cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and XRP. This initiative aims to integrate crypto assets into traditional banking products, offering users exposure to cryptocurrencies without direct purchases. The program, described as an 'interest exchange,' will initially be implemented on a small scale. Its expansion will depend on customer participation and the regulatory landscape. This move marks a significant step in bridging traditional banking with the growing cryptocurrency market.
