In an open letter, Sinelnikova outlined the division of Metis' infrastructure into three layers: Andromeda as the settlement layer, Hyperion as the AI-optimized computing layer, and LazAI as the application layer focused on playability. This move aims to transform Metis into a testbed for next-generation decentralized applications. The project highlights the need for Layer 2 solutions to evolve beyond infrastructure, incorporating engaging user experiences. LazAI, along with its AI companion data asset Lazbubu, exemplifies this approach. The Lazbubu activity has already attracted over 90,000 participants and 10,000 mints, showcasing significant interest in the 'AI agent as asset' model. Sinelnikova encouraged community involvement in building these new ecosystem layers, marking a shift from a sole focus on scaling to a broader blockchain-AI integration.
