Metaplanet has announced a Bitcoin equity financing plan valued at 770.9 billion yen (approximately $5.4 billion), aiming to acquire 210,000 BTC. CEO Simon Gerovich revealed that the plan involves issuing 555 million mobile exercise warrants, marking Japan's first issuance of such products at a premium above market price. This initiative follows the success of Metaplanet's previous 210 Million Plan, which raised 93.3 billion yen ($650 million) in 60 days, achieving a 189% BTC yield and tripling the company's stock price. The company, currently ranked tenth globally in Bitcoin holdings, aims to possess 100,000 BTC by the end of 2026 and 210,000 BTC by the end of 2027, representing 1% of Bitcoin's total supply. Gerovich emphasized Metaplanet's commitment to a Bitcoin-centric future, leveraging the cryptocurrency's high volatility and liquidity to drive growth.
