Hacking group Rhysida has announced an auction for data allegedly stolen from the Maryland Department of Transportation, demanding 30 BTC, equivalent to $3.4 million. The stolen data reportedly includes sensitive information such as social security numbers, legal documents, and audit reports. The Maryland Transit Administration confirmed a cybersecurity breach but stated that physical services remain unaffected. Authorities have urged users to update credentials and enable multi-factor authentication. Rhysida, known for targeting various sectors, continues its ransomware activities.
