Google has launched a major update to its Gemini AI platform, introducing the Neural Expressive design language at I/O 2026. This overhaul, aimed at its 900 million monthly users, features dynamic layouts with fluid animations and haptic feedback. The new interface supports real-time interactive responses, including high-definition images, draggable timelines, and narrated videos, moving away from static text outputs. Gemini Live, a key component of the update, enhances voice interaction with seamless two-way calling and improved pause-detection logic, allowing users to switch between typing and voice conversations without interruption. The update, which also includes phased dialect support, is now available globally on web, Android, and iOS platforms.
