A proposal has been made to create a comprehensive security checklist for mainstream cryptocurrency wallets and trading platforms. This checklist would cover key areas such as mnemonic phrase and private key security, including their generation, storage, and usage, as well as random number security. It would also address signature security, user interaction safety, supply chain security, and the verifiability of open-source code. While some organizations have previously undertaken similar efforts, and partial security audits have been conducted, the task of maintaining a thorough and up-to-date checklist is acknowledged to be resource-intensive.
