Location spoofing poses significant risks to logistics, cybersecurity, and digital services by enabling fraud and undermining trust in GPS-based systems. Blockchain-based proof-of-location (PoL) offers a tamper-proof, decentralized method for location verification without relying on centralized servers. STI's @_spacecoin utilizes RF signals and blockchain technology to verify geolocation data, supported by satellites launched for its DePIN network. Nodes in this system measure distances using RF "PING-PONG" signals, triangulate locations, and record data on-chain, ensuring transparency. This PoL approach enhances security for IoT, supply chains, and financial services, potentially replacing GPS in critical industries.
