Matt Hougan, CIO of Bitwise, has urged institutional investors to reconsider Bitcoin's role in traditional 60/40 portfolios, suggesting an increase in allocation from 1% to 5%. Hougan argues that Bitcoin should no longer be viewed as a marginal asset, especially with the advent of Bitcoin ETFs and growing institutional interest. Bitwise research indicates that portfolios with Bitcoin allocations have yielded positive returns in 74% of one-year periods, 93% of two-year periods, and 100% of three-year periods since 2014, highlighting its potential for positive risk-adjusted returns.
