Bitcoin's long-term holders have significantly increased their activity, with the transfer volume of 1-5 year holders reaching $4.02 billion, according to Glassnode data. This marks the highest level since February 2025. The 3-5 year holder group contributed $2.16 billion, the second highest in this cycle, following $6 billion in March 2024. Meanwhile, the 2-3 year group transferred $1.41 billion, and the 1-2 year group $450 million. This activity represents the fifth largest peak in the current cycle, driven primarily by older holders. Previous peaks in this cycle include $9.25 billion in October 2024, led by the 1-2 year group, and $6.11 billion in March 2024, dominated by the 2-3 year group. The current surge suggests that long-term holders are increasingly releasing their Bitcoin holdings.
