Bank of America (BofA) has advised its wealth management clients to allocate 1% to 4% of their portfolios to cryptocurrencies. This recommendation applies to clients of Merrill, Private Bank, and Merrill Edge, and will be effective from January 5, 2026. BofA will provide research on four Bitcoin ETFs: BITB, FBTC, Grayscale Mini Trust, and IBIT. This marks a significant shift as approximately 15,000 wealth advisors can now directly suggest crypto allocations, integrating digital assets into mainstream investment strategies.
