The U.S. Department of Justice has announced that Charles Uchenna Nwadavid, a Nigerian citizen, has pleaded guilty in a Boston Federal Court to charges related to a cryptocurrency fraud scheme. Nwadavid admitted to participating in a 'pig killing' scam that defrauded six victims of over $2.5 million, which was subsequently transferred to a cryptocurrency account under his control. He faces charges of mail fraud, aiding and abetting money laundering, and money laundering.
