BSC has successfully completed the Maxwell hard fork upgrade, significantly enhancing its network performance by reducing block time from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds. This improvement is expected to boost transaction speed and network responsiveness. The upgrade incorporates three major proposals: BEP-524, BEP-563, and BEP-564. BEP-524 focuses on faster block intervals for near-instant transaction confirmations. BEP-563 enhances the validator consensus process by improving peer-to-peer messaging, reducing missed votes, and minimizing synchronization delays. BEP-564 introduces new message types to expedite data synchronization across validator nodes, further optimizing network efficiency.
