Invesco and Galaxy Digital have filed for a spot Solana ETF, becoming the ninth entity to submit such a proposal to U.S. regulators. The Invesco Galaxy Solana ETF is designed to track the spot price of Solana, currently the sixth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. If approved, the ETF will trade on the Cboe BZX exchange under the ticker 'QSOL'.
This filing follows the success of Bitcoin ETFs and the moderate performance of Ether ETFs launched in early 2024. The firms are required to submit a Form 19b-4 to the SEC to begin the approval process. The move reflects growing optimism in the crypto sector, bolstered by anticipated regulatory easing from the Trump administration.
